You are never too old to look good

Bodybuilding is a sport where 40 is the limit it seems. Sure there is a few freaks like Ronnie Coleman who seem to be able to compete forever. There is always a "comeback" story of a great former pro who is making a "outstanding" comeback but it never seems to happen (aka Vince Taylor). But this time, it is true. Who am I talking about? Francis Benfatto.

Who do you ask?

Francis Benfatto has one of the greatest physiques of all time. He has great symmetry and his body is the essence of what a lot of us want to look like. In 1993 he decided to retire from pro bodybuilding at the age of around 35. He was "fatigued". And it needs to be remembered that he was a hell of a competitor. Placing in the 10 in atleast two olympia's. In 1990 he placed in the top 6 weighing only 176 pounds!

Then he decided to make a comeback, not at 40, but at 48. He will be competing at this year's Austalian grand Prix, and believe it or not, He is still in wonderful shape. Milos Sarcev's board has been following his progress the last few months. Here are some pictures @ 208 pounds, 30 pounds more than he weighed at the 1990 olympia!

I hope this is some inspiration for some of you all. Age comes and goes each year, but it doesn't mean you can't improve over time. Trust me, he looks awesome now, and bigger than he did in his so called prime.

****EDIT***** Vince Taylor is also going to compete at the Australian Pro!!! This will be a killer competiton with two legends.

Ummm, gear sort of erases the age factor. If you are using then you can basically manipulate your T levels and metabolism to be equal or above anyone who is 5, 10 or even 20 years younger than you are.

Benfatto does look amazing. Very aesthetic physique.. no distended belly and odd lumps anywhere.

I'm looking forward to seeing him back on stage!

Could be a potential Masters Mr. O!

I don't know but Vince Taylor is making a comeback too, so they should compete against each other. I am very excited about Vince's comeback. He is a class act.

He would have finished in the top 4 if it wasn't for his chest tear... if you look close you can tell that I think his left pectoral was torn. He doesn't have any chest size at all.
