I second Mike Mentzer! Met him several times before his death, and even though he was impossable to talk to he developed a great physique and a very limited quantity of steroids.

And yes Tom! Had the joy of watching him do legs many times at the ole World Gym Venice. Once saw him do 315 for 10 min! I kid you not, he set an egg timer and just kept going up and down like a piston.

My three favorite are:

Victor Richards
Mike Mentzer
Arnold

I don't really like Mike and Arnold but this thread is top 3 so I put them. But favorite of all-time is Victor Richards. This guy had crazy ass genetics and was a monster even if he didn't compete. At age 15 before he lifted a weight, he was already 215 and shredded.

Attached is a pic of him at 16 with a year training, age 15, and his prime.

Also, it was rumored that instead of having XY genes, he had XYY so he had much more testosternone, something along those lines.

Ronnie Coleman.. Nobody has ever come in as big and shredded as him

Dexter Jackson... Comes in shredded every time, great symetry...

Victor Martinez... Great combination of size, symetry, and once he can dial it in with consistancy he will be a huge threat to anyone....

David Henry.. His muscle maturity for his age is unreal, he also has great lines, and symetry.. once he puts on some more mass.. especialy in his legs he is gonna be a real threat...

Sully

what do you mean impossible to talk to????

IMO he had Arnold beat hands down... His build was so much more symetrical, he had a 6 pack, not a 4 pack like Arnold, his waist was more narrow.... He just had a much more ballanced physique... Here is a cool video of him

Although I have no opinion of who won the 1980 olympia, I would say that I actually liked Arnold physique more that year than ever. He came in shredded... more so than ever.

I would have to say mine would be in this order:

1 Arnold (in his prime pumping iron days, gotta love the biggest olden day icon, before he was the guvenator)
2 Jay Cutler (still think he looks more symmetrical and has just about as much "freak mass" as big ron
3 Dexter "The Blade" Jackson (gotta love this guys symmetry and overall shape and out of this world midsection)
