Real deal out of the olympia?

You heard it hear first, or well maybe second if you got the new issue of MD. Chris Cormier is thinking of skipping the olympia. If Chris and Dexter out, that leaves the top 5 very open. Hard to believe these two wouldn't fall in the top 5.

Well you know I think it is stupid.

In MD he said because he has some business opportunities coming up, which I think is bogus. He also said in this month's issue it was because he was gunning for third place automatically, and there is no way in hell that jay should have beaten him last year. He thinks it is politics and would rather when 100k and a hummer at the arnold every year.

Thats a shame... Although i dont think he could win... with the judges & politics and all, i would like to see him at the O. I think he has one of the most pleasant looking physiques i have ever seen. Def. one of my favorites.

Yep. Right now him, ruhl and darrem charles are my favorites.

Dexter for his shreaded physique. Ruhl for his size, Darrem for his symmetry.

Of course i think flex wheeler had the best body ever.

Ruhl will never win it if they enforce the new Belly ban though.

Even with the new rule, I think Ronnie will still win, IF, he comes in tight...

With the new rule in place this would have definitely ben Dex's year. Too bad he's not doing it. But, he must be making enough money doing something else.

If they truly vote the Bellys down... guys like Victor Martinez, Darem Charles,
Troy Alves, Melvin Anthony should crack the top 6, IMO.

My opinion too, I don't think ruhl should win, but I still love the guy. Darrem Charles in my opinion is the most underrated lifter in the ifbb. He finished 10th last year, when i would have put him in the top 7 or so easily. This year he should place in front of people like ruhl, martinez, gunther, and others... I would put him 5th probably if not higher.

One thing we have to remember is that Ruhl, Cutler, Kris Dim, Ronnie Coleman, Federov have all taken the year off to train for the olympia. Who knows what these guys will look like in a year of bulking.

I've got a feeling that if Ronnie loses this year, it will cause large outcry from his fans. People will think that the "gut" rule was put in place soley for the purpose of taking him down.

On the other hand, if he comes in with a big gut and still wins, people are going to think the rule had no effect, and lose even more respect for the judging system.

It's kind of a lose-lose situation. Unless the person who wins is CLEARLY superior, people are going to be arguing about it right up until the next Olympia.

I agree with you that Darrem should be getting more respect. I actually think he's more asthetic than Dexter. He should definitely be top 6 material. If the IFBB wants to shake things up at all, this would be the year to do it due to the gut rule. If they want to promote guys like Darrem and Victor Martinez, they should move them up now. (Provided that they come in in good condition, of course).

I am not a Ronnie Coleman fan. But I will tell you this. No one, I mean no one can beat ronnie coleman at his best. Not last year, not the year before. Sure Jay cutler maybe should have in 2001? and maybe Levrone should have knocked him off one year. But Ronnie Coleman is the best.

I saw pics of him in 98? I think it was, and that was my favorite Ronnie Coleman. I will try to find those pics after work today.
