| IronMass Donator | WHAT. THE. HELL! How can Fannie Barrios (http://fanniebarrios.com/fannie.html) be gone for 2 months and I hear nothing about it! I'm plugged into the internet 28 hours a day. I heard nothing! How did this get under my radar? Is it just me, or are our top female athletes getting the short end of the stick. Like at the Olympia. Please explain to me why the Women's Finals were moved to the expo stage, away from the main stage? I was highly disappointed and annoyed. These women have sacrificed and struggled to reach the top of their game. They deserve to perform on the main stage with all the attendant benefits (lighting, acoustics, prestige) that it entails. Rant over. Thanks for listening. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 161 | I agree... i think its a damn shame that Fannie's death went under the radar so to speak... whereas if it were a male bodybuilder it would be everywhere.. I think it is just the lack of interest in womens bodybuilding... unfortunately some things will never change...

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | I think there is an identity crisis in women's bodybuilding. A lot of people find the lack of feminity, particularly in the face, to be unappealing. That particular sport could be in a lot of trouble because there really is very little interest. For the amount of effort that goes into bodybuilding at any level-man or woman-there isn't enough compensation to justify the effort these women put forth. I like the fitness and find the figure to be dumb as part of a bodybuilding contest. I'm there to see athletes, not women who do cardio prance around in high heel. Just my .02.
