No 2006 Charlotte Pro

Unfortunately, there will be no 2006 Charlotte Pro Show, and apparently this show will not be taking place again.

According to his own words on MuscleMayhem, the promoter apparently lost over $300,000 on the show.

This is particularly dissapointing to me because now there are now only 3 Pro Fitness Shows this year that all IFBB Pro Fitness competitors can enter.

Since there are only four open shows for Fitness, there will be a LOT of competitors in each show. That in itself is cool. It makes for a good show and good competition.

However, with only three Olympia qualifying spots at each show, it will make it very difficult for anyone other than the very biggest name pros in Fitness to qualify for the Olympia or place high enough to get a 2007 Arnold invite.

On the other hand, there are 11 open Pro Figure shows.

On a positive note, there is one new Pro Fitness ( and Bodybuilding ) show on the schedule this year, the IFBB Atlantic City.

Yeah I heard rumors that the Charlotte Pro was done yesterday... It disapoints me because charlotte is a beautiful city and the convention center was nicely laid out. 300,000 is a lot of money to lose in one weekend. Anyword yet on the IFBB Denver show?

Hopefully someone will step up and bring some fitness shows to some of the other contests. It would be great for the sport.

The Denver show is on, but it's only BB and Figure.

72k in cash! That is a pretty big for a new show! Looks like Darrem will be getting some more money this year in a smaller show!
