Craig Titus charged with Murder. Kelly Ryan charged with accessory to murder - Page 2

I don't think they are innocent, I was just hoping at the beginning for the best. We've met Craig and Kelly, and hung out with them briefly, and you just hate to believe something like this. They were very nice when we met them.

For the record, here is what I think happened.

I doubt they killed her.

I bet she died of a drug overdose, or some other accidental way while partying.

From that point, a very bad cover up plan was thought up.

I believe they probably bound her and taped her mouth after she was dead, and took her out to the desert and burned the body and car to make it look like some kind of abduction.

I think when they came to their senses the next day they realized there was no way the cover up was going to work and decided to take their money and leave the country.

Craig was already a felon and they had to know the rest of the evidence would come out.

Here's what I think will happen now.....

The police will play Kelly against Craig.....using the fact that he was having an affair with the girl....and the fact that with his previous convictions he will be doing major time...and the fact that Kelly could probably be out in a few years if she wasn't involved in murder and only purchased the lighter fluid and fled.

Improper disposal of the body....without corresponding murder charges isn't nearly as serious a crime.

I recall a case in Texas a few years ago where the police thought a man had killed his roommate, but couldn't prove it.

The man admitted to cutting up his body and dumping it in the bay...but claimed the man had died from other causes. The man on trial admitted to paniking and disposing of the body...but they could not prove he murdered him....and he got off with just a couple years.

I bet the cops run some kind of deal like this.....although Kelly can't be forced to testify against Craig, they will probably make it worth it to her.

However.....this is of course, all speculation.

Edit: Let me add....... that even if they didn't kill her...disposing of someone's body in that way to cover your own ass is a horrible thing to do. That girl had a life and I'm sure she had family and friends somewhere who deserve to know the truth about what happened to her. However this all turns out, I don't think there is any way it will be good for anyone involved.

Possibly because if she was alive when the car was torched, she would have inhaled the fire and smoke. However, if she was already dead, her lung tissue would probably look 'healthier'. Besides, human bodies do not completly combust.

The asphyxiation is only probable at this point.

"The Clark County coroner determined James was probably asphyxiated, police said"

It may be difficult to tell what actually happened, or they may be doing more detailed tests.

I would think they would need something more than probable at trial, if possible.

Yeah.. the stupidity factor is almost unbelievable. Wow.

That Matt Cline interview is really something.
( Matt is the friend they were driving to meet up with in Boston )

He's been a long time friend, and he is speculating that Kelly freaked out and killed Melissa, and Craig tried to cover it up.

I think they're guilty also. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they killed her. They certainly aren't showing any signs of character. Matt doesn't sound loaded with it either. I mean he didn't "rat" his friend out? If his friend murdered someone, you'd think he'd be more than happy to help law enforcement. Friend or no -- killing people is against the law. Duh. Plus, he points out that Melissa was nice but nothing special -- something like that -- based on her appearance. People can be so shallow. The way some of these people talk is sickening.

Heh... you never do know people. It is very sad that this happened... I have always liked Craig.. Defintely when I saw video of him and King is Australia having a mini posedown in the middle of the competition.

“Did you guys find my steroids?” Titus asks the detectives.

“Yeah,” a detective responds.

“You did find it?” Titus said. “(Expletive,) man. That’s pretty good investigation.”
