| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Melvin Anthony is "the product of the streets", growing up in a poor neighborhood in California. He has said that being the biggest person on the block was important to gain respect, many people went to prision to lift weights because people thought that was all you did in prision. At the age of 18, Melvin Anthony walked on at San Bernardino Valley College's football team with no experience and earned a scholarship. Melvin didn't have the heart for football. Melvin is also a liscenced manicurist. Melvin won the 1999 USA's competing in the SHW class. He had lost the previous year to Dennis James. Melvin's first show was the Night of Champions (now New York Pro) in 2000 where he finished 7th. Currently he among the top bodybuilders in the world and finished 7th at the 2005 Olympia. According to Get big.com's unofficial pro ranking's, they have Melvin Anthony as the 8th best pro bodybuilder in the world. Melvin is definitely one of the biggest people on the block... currently Melvin competes at around 240 pounds at a height of 5'8-5'9. Known for great symmetry and awesome conditioning, Melvin is also the foremost entertainer in the sport. Melvin dances, flexes, and shows incredible skills during the free posing round of any competition. Melvin has some of the best proportions in Bodybuilding history. According to his website, Melvin has: Arms: 21" Chest: 55" Waist: 27" Quads: 28" Melvin is now a representative for Vyotech. And is currently taking classes in Religion.

great post....personally i think he is one of the most overlooked bodybuilders, he will be participating in the Arnold this year again, and unfortunately i dont think he'll be winning it...
