Best Abs?

Hey guys,

Who do you think had the best abs in bodybuilding, past and present (though I expect it to be present with the extreme low body fat level of current contestants)?

I'm thinkin Dexter or Haider.

Dexter, haidar, flex wheeler, darrem charles, serge nubret... just to name a few off the top of my head.

He has an incredible set of abs (Haider). I like Dexter's abs more though, I mean the way they are so symmetrical.

heh, i should have mentioned shawn ray...

He is definitely one of the best physiques of all time.

I also like: Flex Wheeler, Dexter Jackson, Darrem Charles.

I think Shawn Ray's physique is virtually flawless.

Almost no other pro, past or present, has that type of symmetry, along with the muscle thickness and size that Ray displayed in his prime ( 93 Olympia, probably being his best ever condition ). His leg and back size is unbelievable on someone known for symmetry. Also, never once did he display the distended abs/gut seen on other competitors with his level of mass.

In my opinion, the only thing that kept him from winning 10 Olympias is his short stature and size in comparison to some of the larger competitors.

Nobody else has that size with that symmetry.... even Wheeler and Levrone in their prime, as great as they were, didn't have Ray's lines...

I can agree. It is sad, in my opinion, there will never be a bodybuilder shorter than 5'7 or so that will win an olympia. They want mass monsters, 5'8 and above.

Yeah, I'm wondering how Ahmad was able to avoid getting that GH gut like all the other pros. Anyway, he looks great, and his abdominals have always been inspiring.

He isn't a big guy and he probably doesn't, or doesn't use as much gh/insulin, as some pros... he is a finese bodybuilder, not a mass monster...

Franco Columbu was only around 5'5 I think. But that was a long time ago, before the Dorian's and Ronnie's came into the picture.

I'll agree with this. From an artistic/beauty point of view, which is what BBing SHOULD be about anyway, Shawn should have been unbeatable.

Oh, i know there has been people under 5'8 to win an olympia, i just don't think it will happen again. People 5'4-5'7 just can't get big enough to compete with mass monsters like ruhl, cutler, ronnie, etc.

There is a possibility he doesn't use it, or uses very little when he does..

Lou Ferrigno or Frank Zane are my picks. Anyone that's 6'5" that can pull off the shred he had in 1980 definitely gets my attention. He shoulda mopped the floor with Arnold's ass in 1980!! Frank Zane was just phenominal in his prime, he's still not too bad today.
