hey guys,

i just plan on going to the expo, so you think saturday or sunday would be best? sunday would be easier for me, but i can make it saturday if i need to. i wish i could afford tix for the show, but i'll have to wait till next year, money is a bit tight right now. i'm buying a new house and trying to save some money too. the wife and i are planning another baby soon.

I am going Friday and Saturday because I figure most of the pros that are competing will make appearances on Friday. Sunday me and Amanda are going to the zoo with some friends from college.

I have kind of an O/T question for the reps on the board. What kinda deals can we expect at the Arnold?

Well.... like i think i told you... I didn't go to the arnold to get supplements, i went to meet pros and to get some free samples which are definitely readily available.

There really weren't a lot of deals at the Arnold. Don't go if your sole expectation is to get a bunch of supplements cheap. I was actually dissapointed at the amount of companies giving much away last year.

It's a money making opportunity for the vendors and they were selling everything, and not at particularly low prices. It's understandable, they have a huge gathering of their target consumers all together in one place.

Now, I did come away with a lot of good stuff, but it's because I knew people working a lot of the booths and they hooked me up.

The fun part about the Arnold expo is everyone you get to see in person. Almost everyone who is anyone in the Fitness Industry is there, and inches away from you. If you take the time and if you're polite, you can talk with and possibly get your picture taken with the biggest stars in the sport.

If you love the sport of bodybuilding it's very cool to see everyone in one place.

As far as supplements go, I got a LOT more supplements free at the Nationals and the Jr. Nationals than the Arnold. At the smaller shows, the companies don't expect to sell so much, so they don't mind giving away a lot of free stuff. Almost every booth at the Nationals and Jr. Nationals gave me a bag with LOTs of free samples, and many full size products.

I STILL have product left over from the Nationals and Jr. Nationals in 2004.

Just saw this thread..... I may be tagging along with some people from my academy for the events at the nationwide arena, if thats the case I'll definitely be checking out the expo and dropping by the booth!

Oh yes, wait, Mr Apowerz6 will be there, and looking for the Scivation booth so I can get all the $10 items and $5 deals on Saturday, will not be attending the show i dont think have to check with my accountants on that one...
