Too be honest it's not the best. If it were between getting enough protein or not then go for the extra shakes but ideally you should only need to have your one post workout shake and rest should come from high quality whole foods.

4-5 protein shakes for anything less than a 350 pound monster is a waste. Your gut will hate you and you'll be losing out on whole foods and their vital nutrients. 1 post workout shake is penty actually. Throw down some lean meats and fruits, vegis etc. You'll be much more healthy. And you'll save a ton of cash in the process.

I also recommend buying that particlar brand or other brands from the board sponsors. it helps out the board to continue providing great service. you'll also save money.

You're crazy Succio. Explain to me the reason why you would benefit from 4-5 protein shakes. Cause I can name several reasons why taking 4-5 shakes isn't a good idea.

fast absorbtion is needed first thing in the morning. so u take whey protein, which is fast acting. 2 shakes after workout. another one during the day or night

im pretty sure most people here take 4-5 servings of whey

the problem with me is i dont have allot of access to good meats, i cant cook and only option is fast food<which i dont eat unless its subway or chicken from elpollo loco, so i eat at work like 2 cans of tuna, rarely i might bring the wheat and flax bread to make a sanwhich with the tuna, bag of whole carrots, and total cereal dry, some days i get some left over chicken breast, so thats why i say 4-5 shakes cuz with out the shakes i wont even come close to 1 gram protein per pound my diet sucks ass, what can a guy do on such a crappy budget?

Tuna fish, 99% fat free turkey chili, canned foods etc etc.

You don't need fast absorbtion in the morning. A slow digesting protein will do fine. Egg whites, oatmeal etc are good for breakfast.

You see a lot of small guys taking more protein than your bigger ones. this might be a hint. Too many people focus on supps instead of putting that money to use on foods and proper nutrition.

Maybe if you work out in the morning but you don't need a fast protein in the morning and your body isn't catabolic from sleeping. I grew my fastest on a protein shake free diet and also was at my strongest.

ON whey protein i think it very good in flavor and can be drank without the worry of nasty aftertaste.

for me, mixing with water isnt so good - tastes watereddown..hah

mixing with skimmilk, wow - its good and easy, easy to drink down - no problems

It's not "sooo bad", but it would be best if you stuck to whole food sources, such as chicken, beef, tuna, etc.

The only time that you really "need" a protein shake is during/post workout.

thats a bit too much protein. just do like 6 eggs. you shouldnt add a shake after every meal, youd just be shittin out protein. just take one in the morning and maybe one pre and 2 scoops postworkout.

9 egg whites + 1 yolk = Roughly 30-32g of protein.

Eggs are a good protein choice.
