Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 62 | I'm on my second week of X factor and as of tonight, I am really considering stopping my cycle. I have now had five straight days of headaches. I missed lifting Monday night because of it. Tuesday I lifted in the am with no problem, but in the evening I had another banger. Last night, I was okay, then in the middle of my back workout, a headache suddenly came on that stopped me dead in my tracks. Then, I did some searching on the forums and found some info on taking potassium to combat the headaches. I couldn't find any info on how much potassium or specific info on why the headaches may be occurring, but I ate a couple of bananas and bought some potassium gluconate. I eat lots of whole grains, sweet potatos, and lean beef, so my diet is not potassium deficient. Today I took well over 2g of potassium in just pills alone. All day, a headache was coming on, but the potassium seemed to keep it at bay, until I went to the gym to hit some arms and only got one set of bicep curls in before the base of my skull felt like it was going to explode. To deal with the headaches, I've been needing to take a couple of advil a day, which is not recommended while on x factor and I'm unable to get in anything resembling a decent workout. Unless someone has some good suggestions to help me get through this, I just can't keep going... I know it is the X factor, as I have never had chronic headaches before and the worst headaches are coming on after I take the two pills one hour before I hit the gym. This is really frustrating, because all of the feedback says X Factor is a great supp; it seems my system just doesn't like it. Could I try lowering the dosage and see if that helps? Anyone know of people who have had good results using less than 1000mg/day? This just sucks... |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 62 | I tried lowering the dose down to three caps a day and eating loads of potassium and the headaches were still with me this morning, so I popped 2 advil, a sesamin, 2 fish oil caps... and thus ends my run with X Factor. Too bad it didn't pan out for me, even with the small amount of advil I was taking, I did notice increased DOMS kicking in and my strength (when the headache hasn't been debilitating) was maintaining and even increasing on some lifts despite being in caloric deficit. X Factor is all it is cracked up to be... it just don't agree with me for some reason. :blue: I ordered some USPLabs Powerfull and Symmetry X yesterday, so I'm gonna run that stack and see how it goes. I've heard some good things about it. Well, that leaves me with 38 days of X Factor unused... |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 7 | How much water are you drinking per day? I get bad headaches if I don't get enough water, supplementing or not.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 62 | Hed: I drink more than a gallon per day. I've always got a bottle of water at my side sipping on it. I drink a liter within 1hr of waking every morning. Aeternitatis: How much potassium are we talking here? I tried supplementing for a couple of days with more than 2g per day (between 20-30 99mg pills) and my diet is not deficient in potassium in any way. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 62 | Thanks for the help guys. For now, I am stopping the X Factor... I will run a PowerFull + Symmetry X cycle, then go for the X Factor again. I will preload with potassium for a week prior to starting another cycle and keep the potassium high throughout by following Aeternitatis' recommendation. Right now, I just need to get my training back on track, because the headaches threw me for a loop this past week and I can't stand to lose any intensity in the gym while cutting if I want to keep my mass and strength up. |
