Worst Tasting Whey Protein

I've seen lots of "what is the best tasting whey protein" threads, but no one has asked what the worst flavors are. I think it would be helpful so people might be prevented from having to chug horrible tasting swill for weeks, just to get rid of a 5lb bucket of whey they spent good money on.

I hate any of the cheap-ass whey they sell at the price clubs like Sams and BJs; protein from EAS and the like. Its cheap, but so nasty and doesn't dissolve well.

ON 100% whey cookies and cream is absolutely horrid. I imagine that the pillsbury dough boys diarrhea might taste similar.

Bump on that. I know the craze about ON's Wheys but I just can't stand their Rocky Road. I don't think I've ever said anything about this but...it's too sweet? :lick:

I actually like Optimum's Rocky Road whey.. Their vanilla is nasty as hell, I hate all strawberry flavored whey no matter who makes it.. And yes, those cheap-ass 10lbers at BJ's/Sam's/Costco are the worse shit ever, just becuase it's $18 doesn't make it the best..

Not that I spend top dollar on high-end shit, I get the good stuff for lower prices..

:yes: That is the one that first came to mind for me too. Very disapointing, I thought it was going to taste wonderful. They must have made that one as a joke, because I can't imagine a focus groop or product testers aproving this flavor. Yuxors!

:rofl: I can't stand any ON flavours to be honest but I have had worse. I tried a cheap-o brand 1lb tub cause I needed something to tie me over until my shipment arrived and it was so awful I threw it out after one shake. I wish I could remember the name..:umm:

Yeah I hear that. Any brand of vanilla whey is disgusting, and same with strawberry. :excorcist

I like most brand chocolates, usually it's not the taste but some other aspect like the mixability that gets it a reject. ON chocolate is alright although kind of bland. Occasionally I'll get the vitamin shoppe brand chocolate, it tastes better than ON IMO.

I used to enjoy ONs Cookies N Cream but its just to dam sweet - yuk

Costco brand is terrible. Also Hannafords or any one you find at the grocery store - generic protien power. I ran out waiting on a shippment and gave it a try. It was brutal. :run:

First time I ever bought whey I thought it would taste like ice cream and be sweet. Sale on 6 lbs. of GNC Vanilla...boy was I wrong, this is worst whey ever. Now I'm scared to buy any other whey...it's turned into a phobia, lol.

I cannot even consider buying fruit flavored whey other than say strawberry or blueberries and cream. Fruit punch, apple, pineapple and the like... that just seems wrong. Those tastes should be in clear liquid form, not frothy, milky and creamy. :excorcist

I gotta try the ON rocky road, although I hear mixed reviews. I love their chocolate mint, that's my fave. But, I'll be forcing down the nasty cookies and cream until that's gone, thank god I only bought 2 lbs. It gets more disgusting with every serving. Its especially hard to chug down when you're already a little nauseas from intense lifts, the smell alone... uh, oh, here it comes again...

WRONG! There is one very good Vanilla out there, it's Whey Gourmet's vanilla. Expensive but if you like vanilla but hate most whey's versions try this one.

You should try BSN's Syntha-6 vanilla icecream.. Amazing, tastes just like melted ice cream..

Ya? I will if it's Lactose free. I miss my vanilla but not many Whey's my stomach can handle and the Champion that I love the Vanilla sucks.
