Default Water Weight (mono)

Hi everyone.

I have my first of two PLing competitions coming up on dec 9th, and i'd like to make a weight of 181. I am currently dead on 180, and have been taking creatine monohydrate for a month and a half. I was wondering, because i know everyone is different, if i could have a few people's experience with how much weight they lost when they stop taking mono, and how long that weightloss took.

I'm thinking I will stop taking the mono in about 10 days or so. Do you guys think i will drop the normal 3 or 4 lbs of weight? I just want to make sure I come i as close to 181 as possible.

Any help would be great. Thanks

i was thinkin about it more... since it is just water weight anyway, wouldn't a good dehydration ( like many who need to make weight) do the trick? THat way I have the extra ATP, and can water load after I weight in. I know it's not optimal, but I think it is very normal for these comps.

When I dropped creatine mono intake I didn't lose the water weight until 5 weeks later. It all came off in a week. I dropped 7lbs while maintiaining and was like "WTF?" before I remembered I still hadn't dropped any weight from dropping mono.

So ya, either stop taking it now or just continue taking it and make your weight in another way.

im the same as ikaika, I can go anywhere from 5-10 pounds, all depends i guess.

yazf909 you have gained 10lbs in 3 weeks? What is your dosing of creatine?
I just ask because it usally takes me longer to put on the 5-10 lbs when cycling creatine.

^ honestly before i work out i eat protien and carbs then 1 hour later i take 5g of creatine with 10 ounces of grape juice, wait 20-30 min then work out for 1 1/2- 2 hours, right after working out i take 10 ounces of water mix 1 scoop of whey and 2g of creatine. Then about a hour after that i eat lean protien with good fats like chicken or tuna with pb, or protien and carbs> i eat tuna with cc and wheat tortilla plus an apple then before i sleep i eat like 1/2-1 cup of cc always fatfree.

this is also my range but not using creatine mono....just in general.

Especially after each workout, I weight 5-7 lbs more just from drinking my water.
