I would be willing to bet within a few years they try to pass a bill to make vitamins perscription only.

There have been politicians in the past (Hillary Clinton) for one who have said they support a bill that would make vitamins perscription only (I'm sure phamacutical company lobbyists have something to do with it) My Grandmother has been taking vitamins for years, and is now 82 years old, and healthier then alot of people who are 60.

I don't believe in taking excessive amount of vitamins, but a multi vitamin once a day is a good insurance policy incase you don't get all the vitamins in your diet.

I agree with Bubba. I'm pretty unwilling to put too much stock in some of the studies their data is based on; the proper controls weren't in place in so many of them.

I laughed when they said "smokers need an extra 35mg of vitamin C." What kind of impact does that have on their mortality rate? Probably jack shit since the issues associated with smoking are so plentiful and diverse.

Interesting read though; for the great unwashed I'm sure this is like the scariest article ever.

Here is great article wich is about the Vitamin Myth article. It's long, but a good read. The vitamin, and supplement industry brings in 7.5 billion dollars a year. Don't think for a second big Pharma wont do anything possible to get a slice of that pie.
