Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 11 | I understand retail stores have overhead as well as online - online having lower pricing based on lower overhead "supposedly". But that really is not my real issue as I know everyone needs to make $$ to live and prosper. The million dollar question - Online retailers charge lower prices - but why do some online retailer charge $5-$10-$15 more for the same product (assume product is exact on both sites). Ex. 1 site sells No-xplode at $30.59 while most others sell for $39.99. 1 product I am looking to try is Epic Tetra-5...The sample I received I felt very positive about and searched around. 1 site sells for low $30 while the site I want to buy many things from sell for $40? Sorry for the rant.. |

The site that is selling the same product for less is relying on making $5 per item, and selling more items to the people who do shop price. The funny thing is many of these sites are owned by the same people. they put both sites in place to take advantage of both types of customers. If you are smart enough to look for the best deals you will be rewarded with a good deal, if not, then you will pay top $. Some people make enough money that they really don't care if they get "the best" deal... | |

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Also it has to deal with how much business for the product the supplement retailer receives. If you buy in bulk from distributors, you get them cheaper. That is why some retailers can charge 30.99 and others 32.50. There will be pricing discounts like 40.00 for 1-5, 38.50 for 6-20, 35 for 21-100, 32.50 for 101+. Retailers can buy in bulk in save, but the extra warehouse costs can kill them, so some retailers keep only a limited supply. That is why walmart is killing everyone in the retail realm.

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | Very true. Loss leaders are a must anymore. Just like the day after thanksgiving sales. Many loss leaders on those days. They will lose a dime to gain a dollar.
