In most cases, you need have enough investment capital at first to be able to buy in large enough quantities to buy directly from the distributors or manufacturers at the low prices they offer their big accounts.

You can't make any money unless you can get the product for significantly less than you are selling it for. To compete with the other online stores, you better be able to get the good pricing because the competition is steep. There are a lot of discount supplement stores online now.

Even with an online store you're going to have overhead; Packing and shipping materials, advertising, web site design and upkeep.

You'll also need to make sure you have time available to pack and ship your orders in a timely fashion. If you don't get your merchandise out quickly to your customers, they won't buy from you again.

It's a tough business, because there are many discount online stores.

Bottom line, you better get your inventory for a really good price, because if you don't, you won't make money reselling.

To add to that, a hook always helps. Products other people don't have, niche or proprietery products, etc.

Agreed. This probably covers 90% of this type of businees case. You are purely just a "Re-Seller". There are hundereds on-line which have also hurt the brick & mortar type businesses. People want stuff cheap and fast. very simple.

Don't do it, right now the market is just too saturated. It is nearly impossible to be competitive, you'll end up doing this all day .. :boink:

Right now I think the market, depending on your area, is prime for more personal trainers that are NOT affiliated with gyms.
