Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | If you get a good multivitamin, you shouldnt need to supplement with saw palmetto. NOW ADAM has the standard 160mg. Success with what? Prostate health? As a stand-alone its not going to prevent mpb, if that's what you're referring to. |

| Pro Stature | GNC MegaMen multi-vitamins for those over 40 has Saw Palmetto with the rest of the pills. I've been on those multi's for over a year and have had no prostate problems yet. That is the only response I would think one would have. And unless someone really abused the crap out of PH or AAS, I don't think anyone younger than 40-45 would expect to have a prostate problem. But I'm no Dr. and the above is only my humble opinion. I'm certainly not trying to flame anyone here.

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | it's suppose to be pretty good. Definitely when taking something that enlarges the prostate so Ph/AAS users use it to minmize the effects on their prostate. Isn't it the DHT that causes the prostate to enlarge for young adults?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | DHT related prostate hypertrophy is highly over-exaggerated. The real cause is E2 binding to SHBG already bound to a receptor on the cell. As we age our T adn subsequently DHT levels drop and E2 levels increase. So why would we see an increase in bph cases as we age if DHT levels drop significantly. Because the real cause is estrogens. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | i started to take the saw palmetto because.... *complete embarassment* i've been getting the 'dribbles' after peeing more frequently lately, and it's kinda gross. Any searching i did pretty much said saw palmetto could help be shrinking the prostate and giving me some more control.
