Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 29 | If u have been in bb for a while and have picked up ANY muscle mag on the market then u know about muscletech and their 6 page ads and how they pimp bb stars like jay cutler and king kamali and even wrestling stars like brock lesnar and batista. Well, the truth is newbies actually fall for those ads ( i sure did when i first started) and im sure alot of u have also. Their ads will say somthin like "gain 20lbs of muscle with the nitro and cell tech stack!!!". Well im here to disect their most popular products and input my reason on them. So ppl wondering about muscletech products need to read this. Other members plz feel free to reply to this thead with ur opinions on these over hyped products. Nitro tech: Im sure everyone has either heard or has tried this product. Muscletech hypes it up saying stuff like Increases PROTEIN SYNTHESIS! and NITROGEN RETENTION! Increases NITRIC OXIDE! Increases INSULIN SENSITIVITY! Enhances MASS and STRENGTH! Well big deal!!!! Show me a protein that has a little creatine added in it that doesnt do this!!! They act like they use some big secret protein that they have in there and nobody else has. Well u wanna know what type of protein they use??? Whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate with some glutamine blends. Whoa man let me tell u, that's some kind of protein!!! I believe.....um lets see......JUST ABOUT EVERY PROTEIN ON THE MARKET HAS THIS IN IT!!! besides the creatine this product has in it. Not to mention the outrageous price they charge for this protein. Usually 2lbs is gonna run u around 30 bucks no matter where u get it off the net...give or take a few dollars. The 4lbs is gonna run u around 55-60 dollars again depending on where u get it. Some good alternatives for protein powders are Dymatize elite whey, ON's 100% whey, AST VP2 whey isolate, MRM's whey, and Champion Nutritions whey just to name a few. Cell tech: Another hyped up product from muscletech except this is a creatine product. They CLAIM it's 880% more effective than other creatines. Huh...aint that somthin. Well lets see what makes this creatine so effective shall we....Of course they have reg. creatine mono in it, then they throw some dextrose in it( well it's a little better now), throw 2g of Taurine in it, and 200mg of ALA(Alpha Lipoic Acid). Did I miss somthin here???? What's so advanced about that???? Not to mention the 75g of sugar u have to guzzle down Yes that looks like a lot of promising products and the fact is the products in it aren't that bad. U can get 2lbs which will run anywhere around 25-30 dollars: 4.3lbs which runs anywhere from 40-45 dollars: 7lbs which runs around 60-65 dollars. If u want cell tech then dont pay that outrageous price for it. Instead buy some dextrose, just some plain ol creatine mono, some taurine powder, and some ALA. All of these will be so much cheaper than cell tech and will last a lot longer than any of those tubs mentioned. Yes its gonna take a little time to make but that's better than giving muscletech anywhere from 25-65 dollars of ur money. Some better alternatives are AST's HSC creatine or their micronized creatine mono, Prolabs pure creatine mono, or just about any other micronized creatine u can get ur hands on. U can also look into the cell volumizers such as Swole v2, San's v12, ISS Satur8, and a whole basket load of others out there or u can look into the new creatine called CEE-creatine ethyl ester( which i highly recommend). Mass Tech: This is muscletech's weight gainer. Nothin new here. Weight gainers have been around for a long time. Of course muscletech thinks it's the best gainer on the market.... period. The serving size is 5 scoops with 10 servings per container with 830cals, total fat 5g, sat. fat 3g, 150g of carbs, fiber 5g, sugars 6g, and 45 g of protein. They threw some creatine mono in there, glutamine peptides, some BCAA's, taurine, some ALA(Alpha Lipoic Acid), and some vitamins and minerals just like any other weight gainer on the market. Contains everything but the kitchen sink. They also use Maltodextrin as the carb source( which acts like a sugar), and plain whey protein concentrate and isolate. As far as i know it only comes in a 5lb jug which is usually gonna run u around 40-45 dollars, again depending on where u get it at online. If u just have to have a store bought gainer the most popular ones are N large 2 from Prolab and Universals Real Gains. Everyone will agree though that store bought gainers arent that good b/c they are all the same. I recommend making ur own with some reg. protein powder, milk, oatmeal, natural peanut butter, and fruit(optional). Throw it in the blender with some ice and u have a good tasting gainer that will deliver plenty of cals, protein, and quality carbs without all that crappy maltodextrin. Just use ur imagination and u will be surprised what u can come up with.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 29 | Hydroxycut: This is muscletech's fat burner. When it had ephedra in it I heard it was pretty good, but of course ephedra is banned and most fat loss supps are garbage without it unless u go with something like VPX's redline, MAN's Scorch, Thermorexin, and San Tight. Hydroxycut comes in 70 caps( around 20 bucks), 140 caps( around 25-30 bucks), and 210 caps( around 40 bucks). They also have caffeine free Hydroxycut and Carb control Hydroxycut. Better alternatives are the ones i mentioned above. Pump Tech: Just another NO( nitric oxide) product on the market. Like we really need more of these. Muscletech claims that it will pump u up bigger and better than the rest out there. Im not too fond of NO products b/c all they really do is give u a little better pump and maybe some strength. Pump tech comes in 90 caps( around 30 bucks) and 200 caps( around 50-55 bucks). All it has in it is AAKG, of course, and some L-Citrulline, Tri creatine Malate, and L-Aspartic Acid, which all of these are severly underdosed to even think about seeing results from them. Some better alternatives are Universals NOX3, VPX's Muscle nitrous, Pinnacles NO product( cant remember the name), and Cold fusion from Legal Gear. Thermogain: This is by far the fakest product on the market claiming that it can make u gain muscle while losing fat. Well i dont know about you but the norm of society cant do this unless it's by taking drugs or having the perfect genetics. U can do this naturally but it's very very hard. It comes in 150 caps(around 40 bucks). It has nothing spectacular in it consisting of: Tricreatine malate, Alpha lipoic acid, Cinnamomum verum, Evodia extract, Vinpocetine, White willow extract, and Huperzine. They call this the "Alpha Gain Blend" and the "Incinerating Blend" consisting of: Green tea extract, Caffeine, Oolong tea extract, Theobromine extract, Guarana extract, and Yerba mate. Again this product is too underdosed, especially the Alpha Gain Blend to even notice any effects. I dont have any alternatives to this product b/c there is no other company stupid enough to try and come out with somthing like this. Well there u have it folks. Hopefully u will see how faulty and crazy muscletech is with all those claims and products they have. Members feel free to post ur opinions on these products or any other products they have
