Default Question about taking Whey

Does it make a huge difference if I mix 100% gold standard whey with water or with skim milk? It does not taste like chocolate at all with water lol...

Depends upon your goals and overall macros. Also, the milk would affect absorption of WPI, not sure if there is much of an effect on whey.

I agree - some whey was just never meant to be mixed in water (if you are talking about taste).

Default Re: Question about taking Whey

mixing them would be the same as drinking whey in water, and then a glass of milk.....

so if you have no problem drinking a glass of milk with your isolate... then have at it.

IMO, it depends on when and why you are taking you WPI. Use this key:

"If I am taking WPI should I drink milk with it?"

For Breakfast: Yes, if you are not consuming an egg or meat protein near your shake.

For a small snack: Yes, assuming lactose fits in your diet.

Before Training
: Yes, assuming lactose does not upset your stomach or cause a bloat... AND assuming u have not had another egg or animal protein source.

After training:
Maybe... probably no needed. If you are training for a long period of time, and had only WPI before training... then yes... do WPI after training. If your session was intense and lasted only 60-80 minutes, then WPI with milk AND ANOTHER CARB SOURCE (depending on genetics and goals) would be a great option for increasing anabolism.

Before bed: **** WPI, you'd be wasting ur money. Just triple up on the milk and animal meat.

Dustin nailed it yet again. Use meat and eggs whenever possible and your shakes should just be for convenience/PWO.
