Default Nitro Evolution...

I hear that Nitro Evolution is a good aid for muscle building... but I don't know if it's right for me.

http://www.***************.com/nitro...aps-p-944.html

I'm a junior in High School, and am just getting into weight lifting. I've just come out of a rather large weight loss (60 pounds; 235-175) and all of my muscular strength seems to have gone with the excess fat. So I'm basically working my way back up the ladder, and I thought supplements could help me to get back on track strength wise. I don't want to become dependant on a supplement, and I don't want to see my strength go down once I stop using it. All I want is a boost to get my lifts higher and then go solo from there. Would Nitro Evolution be good for what I'm trying to do, or should I look elsewhere? Any advice would be appreciated.

EDIT: Oops, if this belongs in the Supplements forum I'm sorry, redirect it if need be.

Definately not a PH bro but a good product none the less. I don't have much time to answer but yes this will help your strength, no you won't become dependent, and you will keep most of the strength gains as long as you keep pushing as hard afterwards.

both Nitro Evolution and Cre-Ethyl Thunder are outstanding products. Thunder worked better(for me) for adding size and strength, but the recovery on Nitro was out of this world. You won't develop any sort of dependency on the mild stims in Thunder...it's like drinking a cup of coffee before you work out. Nothing major. I've said it many times before, but Thunder is the most powerful creatine product i've ever used, hands down.

Grab 2 bottles of Thunder and run them back to back...it'll set you back $50 for 2 months worth, but i think you'll be VERY pleased with your results.

Wouldn't creatine wear off once I stopped using it, though?

And also (this is really lame)... have these supplements been proven to be safe? My mom thinks the FDA wouldn't approve of them, and I have to convince her otherwise before she will let me buy any.

Only one more year till I'm 18... joyjoyjoy

While you may lose a small measure of endurance when you stop taking creatine, all the muscle you gain while taking it will still be there, and you'll still be stronger than you were before you took it. Sure, you'll lose the water weight you gained when you were taking it, but after you pee out all that water, your bigger stronger muscles will still be there.

Creatine is the single most researched sports supplement in existence...it is absolutely safe, doesn't alter your hormonal levels at all, won't give you heart attacks, etc. etc. Creatine is found in all the meats that you eat, so basically what you're doing when you supplement with pure creatine is equivalent to just eating a ton of meat every day(without all those pesky calories).

I ran into this exact same issue when I wanted to first try creatine when I was 16. It basically came down to me plopping down a huge stack of papers I'd printed out about how creatine works, where it comes from, etc. in front of my parents and saying "look, i've read all this, and i'm convinced this is safe. either you guys read it all, or trust my judgement." I bought my creatine the next day.

FDA approval would simply mean that the FDA is convinced that the claims made by the manufacturer about the product are true, and that the product isn't likely to kill you. The FDA is busy enough dealing with all the pharmaceutical companies and making sure prescription drugs are safe...they tend to ignore supplements(except for ephedra, which was banned a couple years ago). With supplements, the proof is in the pudding...reading what others have to say about products, whether it works or it doesn't...thats how you decide for yourself which products you want to try. Thats why boards like this one are so important.

Navarone, the Axis Labs CEE is a pure CEE product...take a look at the ingredient list for Thunder(and I can break down what each one does so danman can explain it all to his mom):

Supplement Facts:

Serving Size: 8 Capsules
Servings Per Container: 30

Amount Per Serving:

Creatine Ethyl Ester 2,400mg
- this form of creatine is absorbed by your body extremely well and will not cause the subcutaneous water retention that creatine monohydrate causes
Glycerol Monostearate 2000mg
- this increases the absorption of the creatine ethyl ester
Glucuronolactone 800mg
- speeds up recovery, increases endurance
Potassium Phosphate 400mg
- electrolytes to help prevent cramping(just like in Gatorade)
Sodium Phosphate 280mg
- electrolytes
Caffeine 112mg
- equivalent to a strong cup of coffee, has been shown to increase the amount of work you can perform in the gym
Niacinamide 80mg
- type of B-vitamin that increases blood flow
Pyridoxine HCL 8mg
- type of B-vitamin that boosts energy and alertness, also involved in carbohydrate metabolism

Look at the suppl fact of both. Axis is CEE only. Omega is much more than that. methylxantines from thunder give me an amazing feeling at the gym. GMS helps all the stuff to get into your blood stream. and more...

yeah the glycerol really makes a big difference for me too...one of the things that really sets Thunder apart from bulk powders.
