Keeping powder dilluded for a long time

Would there be any negative effects of keeping my whey dilluded in water for over 8 hours?

the proteins break down and it ends up becoming rancid smelling and tasting...

Unless you're mixing with milk, carry another bottle for water. Mix the two when you're ready.

Ah, thanks. I only asked because Ihave to keep my post workout shake from 6 through the schoolday.

definetly DO NOT, mix it before you leave for school...you'll open it and gag....definetly do what sholiz told you to, i have dont it in the past....another idea is to buy bottled water/milk at lunch, and take that with you to mix with it, instead of bringing two containers

And if you ever forget a shaker bottle with whey+milk for 3+ days, youll find it and from red (strawberry) it will turn to yellow, stink like hell and the smell will stay even if you put the shaker in a dish machine. Turns to poison man...
