Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | Elite FTS: What are your thoughts on NO products? The NO products on the market are all based around the effect that nitric oxide has in the body. They’re all geared toward creating a vasodilatory effect. By dilating the blood vessels, these products should give you a better "pump" in the gym. Most of these also add a healthy dose of various stimulants. Any product that gets you wired and gives you a pump is going to be wonderful at creating the illusion of progress. You could argue for the increased ability of a dilated vascular system to bring nutrients to the working muscle to both increase anabolic potential and remove training toxins (H+, ROS, etc.). However, the natural response of the body to exercise is to increase vasodilation to the working muscles. In other words, the body already has a built-in process to create this effect. I'm never one to bash a particular product, especially if someone is getting great results from it. That said, however, I would spend money on other things before I’d purchase an NO product. EliteFTS.com. "Troponin Nutrition with Justin Harris" viewed: Dec, 2007 Frankly, I've only used an NO product twice. Once was when it was a gift from my GF's parents "NO Explode" and LG's "Cold Fusion." Both were nice, but NO Explode is overpriced. I know a LG rep, so the Cold Fusion was free. I like the yohimbe HCL and EE in the Cold Fusion. But besides that, I don't use NO products. What's everyone else's take?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 95 | I wouldn't necessarily call no xplode a NO product, but more of a pre workout booster. It is overpriced, but I love it and it gets me wired like nothing else. personally, i think primary NO products are garbage. They serve almost no benefit other than a ''pump''. I have really taken a step back from supplements. I use to be that 16 year old pimply faced kid asking for what the best supplement out there is. Now I realize that their benefits are marginal at best. I still take supplements, but I'm not taking anything out of the ordinary. Too many people rely on and blame the supps they are taking when they aren't garnering the results they want.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 214 | NO supplements have done very little for me with respect to size gains. I've taken a bunch of different ones as well as bulk powders at higher dosages to little effect.

Recipes: 1 Rep Power: 50 | The best I've taken is ALRI WTF Pump'd. I think it was the CEE in it but my bench went up 10 lbs in a week lol. Other than that it's just NO Xplode (which made me wanna hurl) and Superpump250 which I use sparingly. They're good I guess but none do anything out of the ordinary, I think it's mainly placebo with me.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 73 | the pre-WO booster type NO products are decent I think... especially on days when I'm dragging @ss. more of that is from the caffeince and other stim's in there than the NO ingredients though. spending $40 solely for a "pump" though seems a bit wasteful though... thats 4 NY Strip steaks that could've found they're way to my stomach. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 73 | worth taking by itself outside of the "pump" benefit it gives. but if you can get arginine/orinthine together, I remember trying that back when I had a clue about supp's and thinking it definitely gave me a solid pump. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 214 | arginine and ornithine is a good combo; the bulk powders are so cheap that you can actually dose it right(it tastes like ass though; super sour).

| IronMass Sponsor | I really like a good NO product for exactly what it's good for: a temporary illusion of size. I didn't realize this was even occurring until one day after the gym, it was about the 5th time that hours after a workout my wife had commented on how big I looked (my body, you perverts). I realized that every day she had done this, I had taken VPX NO products. One was Muscle Nitrous and the other was just AEX. I'm not endorsing these products... they were just what I had on hand. So if you take them for what they're worth - the NO for the size illusion, and the pre-workout NO/stims for the focus - then you are getting exactly what they do. If you think they're gonna make you gain mass, you need to stop reading advertisements and start researching facts. And I'm SO glad that in the article, Justin Harris points out what I've been saying for years: that there is no increased nutrient delivery with NO products because we are already giving more to the body than it can use. People don't get this. They forget that if in 1 minute they pour 5 gallons of water into a funnel that only flows 3 gallons per minute, the extra 2 gallons didn't get more water through the funnel.
