Default Healthy meal replacement bars

I'm going to be going on vacation in a few weeks for 10 days and I'm going to need to bring some healthy snacks so i can eat good throughout the day and not have to spend an arm and a leg everytime I want food. Just looking for a bar w/ healthy ingredients w/out all the corn syrups and hydrogenated oils that has a good amount of protein and low in carbs. I've been searching all day and the best thing I could find to what I am looking for is the stallone pudding. I'd rather go with a bar tho, it'll be easier to carry around disney world and a bar is as convenient as you can get. Any suggestions?

My wife and I are going to be hitting the kitchen to build the perfect home-made version... I've seen some good recipes out there and will post some up as I stumble across them.

Also, I just ordered me some of these today: Sustain Bars

Quote:
Like its elder brother, SUSTAIN™, the SUSTAIN™ Bar utilizes a combination of proteins for a superior effect on reducing protein breakdown and promoting protein synthesis, while including carbohydrates and fat to create an incredibly handy and versatile means of convenience eating – in essence, an “MRP” in a very portable bar. Lacking the sugar alcohols, trans- and partially-hydrogenated fats, artificial sweeteners and preservatives found in most barely-palatable protein bars, the SUSTAIN™ Bar is sweetened with natural honey and uses REAL peanuts and peanut butter to give the best Peanut Butter Fudge flavor available.

Each bar is only 300 calories, and provides 20 grams of high-quality protein. If you’re pressed for time and scheduled to eat, simply grab a SUSTAIN™ bar and you’re good for several hours. If you’re on the road or on the go and need a quick, convenient and easy mode of nutrition, SUSTAIN™ Bar is ideal. Or simply, if you just want to enjoy its great taste, we’d understand.

Sustain Bar™ and Designer Nutrition are registered trademarks of Designer Supplements.
The bold-italics-underlined part I did to emphasise why I'm giving them a whirl...

amen to that! I tried them based on Warriors review, and I swear upon everything holy that the Pumpkin Supreme flavor tastes exactly like pumpkin pie. Love those things, lots of healthy fats and low impact carbs.

Which flavor did you order? I'm a fan of the Peanut Butter Fudge while Uhockey swears by the Vanilla Almond.

sct -- I ordered the PB fudge ones. Had my first yesterday on the way to basketball. Kicking myself for not ordering the almond ones as these were good...

For 300 calories, I kinda wish the bar was bigger. Oh well, when used properly, it's all good. Tastes like a treat (it was) and packs 20g of protein.

I needed the carbs for my workout later... lol...
