I don't see that happening, and there's no current legislation in the works to do so. So many companies would suffer and the American public would be in an uproar.

it all starts off with something small. first there was gear, then PH/PS, now looking into DHEA, it WILL lead to vit and minerals.

look at the weapon industry. first started out as having to register your weapons. then there was regulation on weight/size/power/capasity of all weapons, then there was restriction on magazine capasity, then there was the assault weapons ban, then there was concealed weapons restrictions. soon the second amendment is gone.

look at tobacco instustry, thats a couple hundred billion dollar instudry (i think). first there was nothing to regulate, then there were required warning labels, then they raised the prices, then they raised priced and restricted advertisment, now you cant smoke inside a PRIVATE establishment open to the public, now you cant have your smoke cross the property line or you will be fined. (btw i hate smoking)

the arguement of "they wont shut it down becasue it makes money" has no real meaning. there is legistlation in the works to regulate vitamins and everything else. they american public is in an uproar about all of the above examples (and believe me there is a lot more people behind the examples above then there is behind supplements). they wont take it away all at once but over time things will start to disappear and nothing will be able to stop them.

I still honestly don't think it will happen. My argument isn't based on money. Anyone who passes such a bill will get voted out of office.

Seriously, the public would be in an uproar and get rid of polititions that let something like that pass. A huge portion of the people that take that stuff are senior citizens and they all seem to vote.

They wouldnt kill it, pharma companies would start selling it as a "medicine".

Look at ephedra. They had a huge part in getting that banned under the guise of sports doping and health reasons. The real reason IMO is that it works. Drug companies want you to be prescribed xenical and statins if your fat, not cheap ephedra that doesnt make them any money. So they lobby govt, media, etc, wait for someone to get sick or get caught doping and POW! Banned. Now they sell statins and xenical and you cant buy ephedra anymore.

Same with steroids and PH. Same guise, different drug. They knew they were effective so they did the same thing. Now theyre banned. Now you can only get a prescription for steroids (if you want them legally) and who is the doc gona get the drugs from? Drug companies.

The saem will happen with vitamins, amino acids and nootropics, etc.

Its all about money. The billion dollar industry doesnt disappear, it just changes owners

This vitamin ban is already in effect in some european countries. You need an rx to buy decent doses of vitamins and aminos in some places.
