Default For discussion: People over-complicate things so badly!

I'm not big on over-complicating things like a lot of guys on the internet are. I see people spending more money on supps than food every month. THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT!

I've worked in the supps industry for a few years and have a lot of friends on the inside. I have seen and proven to myself that most of the supplements have very good results, just not quite what they're market as. Vasodilators are the prime example. If you use supplements for what they actually, physiologically can do in the body, as opposed to what they are market as, they work. Companies are always quoting parts of studies showing increased this or that, but it's never in an amount or type that is able to be seen in physique change, so it's worthless. There's been nothing new and innovative out for a few years now. It's just a remaking of the same old crap with a twist on the marketing. Blah blah blah.

I value sponsors and support them fully. I just think we need to be informed consumers as well.

Anybody wanna give your take on the industry lately?

True that, and for this reason I love the fact that many places are selling bulk supplements now (preferably capped). I can get exactly the ingredient that I want and not all the gimmicky things thrown in, not to mention the inflated price tag.

I was going to sit and type out a big elaborate thing but really you guys have hit the nail on the head. A lot of the "latest and greatest" supps are just a remixed version of standard ingredients with a shiny new label.

Bulk powders are great in my book. Capping is kind of a pain in the ass, but w/e...I'm willing to put up with it if it means I'm not getting a dozen ingredients I don't give a shit about mixed in with my supps.

Hi Cal you pretty much covered it. Ive tried a lot of crap when I first started lifting and I regret spending my hard earned money on some of it, but then again I don't sometimes, unless you try something for yourself to satisfy your stubborn curiosity...you just wont learn.

What Ive learned: 1) Food 2) Protein 3) Creatine Mono 4) BCAA's 5) Multi 6) Fish Oil

......and every so often a PH cycle! (Done right and at the right age of course!)

bump to that list of supp, plus ZMA and Melatonin (more for a healthy life and having consistent rest).

and honestly, OTC anabolics don't even do much in the long run. Cycles should be pinned, and that's all there is to it.
