Discounted supps... good or bad?

At my local Vitamin Shoppe they have discounted protein, as it is set to "expire" in about three months. I have found some cheap/high quality protein (Isopure whey protein isolate) there, and picked up a bottle for $20.00 reg $40. I also picked up a 2lb bottle of Optimum nutrition glutamine for $20.00 reg $40. All of this was half off, hence the discounted price.

I know that with heat protein denatures... but since all the protein is dry, I figure it isn't going bad any time soon.

What is the shelf life of powdered protein? Is the protein still good, or is it better to go with the "newer" stuff? Any thoughts?

I'd go for it. Should be good for quite a few monts after the exp date. Ive used expired protein before and never noticed anything bad about it

from what i have heard the one striking difference in a dry protein thats expired and one thats not is that the expired one doesnt mix as well.....as far as i know the protein is still good.
