Default Any thoughts on Chromium Picolinate while on a low carb diet?

It was on sale so I picked up a CRAP load of chromium picolinate... but Now i'm starting to hear mixed reviews as to how useful it could be.

But one thing does seem to stay consistent in the articles I've read... it does help with insulin sensitivity.... How do you think it will effect me while doing a Cyclic Ketogenic Diet? I'm guessing it will help a bit when carbing up.

I'm going to take 200mcg every morning, I have about 7 months supply. (for five bucks hah).

(The SUPERMARKET of all places has 50% off on vitamins... omg I made out like a bandit on vitamin c, and joint support)

At that price it's not a bad experiment, altough I have not heard many promising reviews of it.

I personally haven't been very impressed with the results from Chromium Picolinate.. but it's very inexpensive.. so you won't be out much if it doesn't work.. and it doesn't take much to get some bang for your buck.

I definitely wouldn't spend any more than that on it.

i read something about it, the post said that CP has the possibility to increase the chance of getting cancer. and of course this was WHILE I WAS TAKE ONE OF THE PILLS.

but there was no backing behind it, only the word that he has read it in some study. so who knows, ive taken it from time to time not noticing anything big.

Ive been taking 400mcg/day of CP and making steady progress in my (still continuing!) recomp.
Could I attribute it to the CP though? No. I couldnt say for sure, but at the 5 or 6 dollars I paid for it, I might as well take it and get rid of the stuff out of my pantry.

The polynicotinate form (chromium bound to niacin) is what I use on occassion. Don't expect much. Unlike Zinc, chromium is an oxidant (don't be worried by that too much though. Vitamin K is an oxidant also and we need it too)

I read some negative things about the picolinate form so I never use it.

Also purchased some on the cheap and can't really say yea or nay on CP. Have I carb crasshed on it - yes. Have I carb crashed less on it - yes. Is it because of the CP - couldn't honestly say...

Probably will not reorder once this runs out.
