Quick chilled high protein, sugary snack
Author: Vario
Time:
1 minute
Difficulty:
very easy
Serving Size:
1 cup
Description
Was hungry for something sugary after a short cardio session, so I added some protein powder, yogurt, and fruit together. Pretty common sense but I never thought of it before so maybe someone else will benefit as well.
Ingredients
  • low fat yogurt
  • protein powder
  • fruit
Preparation
  1. Get some plain yogurt.
  2. Chop up your favorite kinds of fruit.
  3. Get a scoop of your favorite whey.
Instructions
  1. Scoop out about a cup of yogurt, this is about 140 calories, 16 g sugar, 3 grams fat, 11 grams protein.
  2. Add about a scoop of whey, I like chocolate whey, (22 grams of protein), stir till it mixes in smooth. Add fruit on top.
  3. Rough Estimated Total: 200-250 calories ~33 grams of protein, ~4 grams of fat, ~20 grams sugar.
  4. The sugar content is from the lactose in the yogurt and the sugars in fruit, so if you are limiting carbs, this might be okay for breakfast or after workouts but for not much else.
