Generally, if you buy spicy pizza sauce (the one brand we have out our supermarket is great) they skimp on the sugar and add pepper, lowering the fructose/dextrose amount in it. Also if you use fat free cheese you can make it a tad healthier, as the fat in cheese is crap.

Takes away some taste, but make it a little better. I do like putting some pizza stuff on pita shells or whole pizzas though!!

I'm thinking of trying these they sound tasty. What's a good pizza sauce to use? I've never made pizza so I haven't tried any brands before.

sounds good

here is another Recipe:

1 cup of oats
any kind of cheese you use
tomatoes
olive oil
2 eggs
1 can of tuna or 5 oz chicken breast

use a food processor and make the oats into powder. Add 1 TSP of olive oil, 1 egg (beaten) and 1 white. Mix and ad water slowly untill it is a dough. Flatten this on a baking sheet (use PAM). Put in oven at 375 for 15 minutes or UNTIL CRISP. Dice the tomatoes and spread them across the pre-baked crust. Add cheese and meat (cooked if it is raw). Put this under the broiler for a couple mintues and enjoy.

Oh wow sounds good too. I like the idea of using an oat crust...I've always used whole wheat pita bread. I'm going to try this one out for sure. Thanks for sharing. :nosthumbs

We make the same type of pizzas, but we use fat free and/or low carb tortillas instead of pita bread.

We take two tortillas and spread tomato sauce and fat free cheese in between them so it makes a sort of "Stuffed Crust"

We put Grilled Chicken, more tomato sauce, fat free cheese, and vegetables on top and broil until crisp.

We use pure tomato sauce rather than "pizza" sauce.

It's a lot of work, and I only do it when I am cutting.

There is nothing wrong with Ezekiel breads and what not.

Hence the Avi.

Yeah I don't mind having to make something from scratch...if it's healthy it's worth it.

I'm gonna go take my multi now, thanks for the reminder. LoL
