I am searching for an exercise bike that I can use at home and when searching I was given the following options to narrow down my search on resistance types:

- Air
- Hydraulic
- Magnetic
- Water

If possible could somebody explain to me what each of those types mean and which is a decent type of resistance out of the list, as I don't want to order an exercise bike and have it arrive only to find out that the resistance isn't strong enough to get a decent workout.

For example, I don't want to feel like I'm just pedaling through thin air.

is there no way to go test them out at a store or something? I feel like actually trying them out is going to be way more beneficial than hearing what people have to say on the interwebs.

Well I can get one cheaper online that's all, but I may get one from a shop yet. Just wondered if anybody knew what the different types of resistance meant.
