Thumbs up Vegeto's Wrist Guide For The BB-Curl Impaired

The Wristlock Technique (made exclusively for IronMass)
A lot of people have trouble curling with a straight bar. Often times, if not most times, it is because of wrist pain. I hope this guide helps you all to do better curls with a straight bar whether you are incapable of doing them, or you just need a little extra tightening up. Yes, I drew the whole thing in MsPaint. :crazy1:

The first time I used this technique was with a easy curl bar, the first thing I did was switch to a straight bar. Right after that, I was wishing for a thick bar! This technique really is that powerful of a change! Practice it and master it. Ask questions if you need.

LOL, well I do realize that even though this is meant for weight lifting... there are some people that may use it to strengthen their wrist for.. well... other things. It's understandable.

I have to quote Lee Priest to finish this. Can't remember it fully, but...

Kids and guys all ready do it, masturbating is enough to build forearms.

Hey thanks, it took well over 12 hours of drawing and re-drawing. It actually started out as a simple guide, but then I started getting more and more detailed with the illustrations. The meat of the guide is still there, but after all those hours, I ended up with a more attractive presentation.

Let me know what you think of the technique if you give it a try. The main thing is to get the tendons to pop and lock the wrist structure into position.

Just ask if you are confused by any of my explanation.

I recomend practicing for a while first before you lift with it. Then, when you do use it for lifting, give your body plenty of time to adjust to the new change.

lol..nice work bro! I applaud your efforts. I actually do this already (after sustaining wrist strains from heavy BB curls) It makes a world of difference when you start curling over 130lbs. The higher you go the more this technique is needed.

I'm not supprised that other people have been using similar technique. 130+ curls are pretty strong dude, wow strong arms lol.

Don't get me wrong people, I'm not trying to claim that this will make curls into deadlifts or something. It made me ditch my easy curl bar though, and I will most likely never go back. Also, it is really not about wrists. Once your wrists can handle a straight bar instead of easy curl bar (for those who's can't), you may find that your whole arms are in a far superior biomechanical position for strength and growth. Those who are already using a straight bar may also gain mechanical efficiency by doing this.

I get the feeling that some may think it's a little silly that I put all the time into a simple curl technique presentation, but make no mistake, it was a lot of fun making this.

Hi fitnfirm, I actually started making this almost a year ago and I did a little work here, and a little work there. Posting in threads about pizza, rants, and pies is way more time consuming, believe me.

Thanks for the compliment bro. I actually was up to 5x5 with 160lbs at my best which isn't bad for a guy that weighed 185 at the time.
