Also you can do them after a high rep set of squats this will add to the effect (supposedly)I think pullovers are better used as a back exercise but you can do them whenever you want, just if you do I wouldn't do pullovers on chest day when back is the day after/before, or on back day when chest is the day after/before obviously for recovery reasons. They are also more of an isolation exercise so really not necesary for strength/mass development | |

| Unpaid Trash Collector | I no longer do them as I can't get enough weight on the bar to not flip the bench and me off it. I lift alone and that plays a part in it I would suggest you try doing them for a cycle of 6-8 weeks and see how the gains are. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | I haven't attempted a dumbell pullover in like 2 years. When I did them in the past I only felt pain, nothing in the muscles just pain which is not good. I don't like them for anything. There are far more effective exercises for your lats out there. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | When I use the Nautilus Pullover machine it's definitely Lats that get the work. When I do the db pullover lying crossways on the bench with only my shoulders touching the bench and my ass almost lowered to the ground I believe it's more chest and ribcage that get the brunt of it. jim |
