Default Ouch, bench injury

The day after i bench i get a pain under my left bicep (in the tendon) running under my shoulder. I have no idea why this occours, i warm up with some light shoulder work and stretches and 2 warm up sets with 40%1rm and 60% 1 rm

Does anyone know why?
or what i could do to stop this occuring?

its been happening for a while and although it hasnt inconvinienced me in any way i doubt its a good thing!

thanks in advance

humm...rotator cuff tendinitis/impingement syndrome or shoulder bursitis is most likely the culprit. very common.
1- have it checked out by a physician
2- ice and rest it
3- perform rotator cuff exercises, search Ironmass for help. a good thread or sticky on shoulder exercises is out their.

In case you are looking for a second opion...

The same has happened to me and NYCmitch25 hit it right on the nail, of course I would find a physician/physical therapist to trump internet advice.

oh and 4- patience and time...

watch the fit show.. http://thefitshow.com/week23/wm/week23_wm_lg.htm Rusty Jeffers does rotator cuff exercises before he bench presses, and curls in between sets of benching to keep the bicep tendon warm. He has had 3 rotator cuff operations, and said his doctor told him he wont have anymore problems if he keeps his bicep tendon warmed up while bench pressing. And he said so far it had worked great for him... Hope this helps you out..
