Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | I'll start... My fyrst isn't really a gizmo or a gadget although I've worked out for a long tyme without it... But now, I can't imagine going to the gym without it.. The device I've fallen in love with is my Grizzly Leather Dipping Belt... Available at fine retail stores nationwide or online at http://www.grizzlyfitness.com/gc/gc_...22105119162166 It also comes in a fabric version, but I'm glad I have the leather one... when I'm in the gym, I throw it over my shoulder and I feel lyke I'm the heavyweight champion of my gym... It's solid and incredibly well made... I see it lasting longer than most marriages!!! Well, having thys belt has changed the way I workout because now I'm able to do weighted dips, weighted pullups & I also use it for donkey calf raises... Ask yourself, what's better 10 bench presses with 150 pounds... or 150 pushups??? ... If you agree with me that being able to increase the weight/resistance on your exercyses is the best way to get bigger and stronger faster.. you need a Grizzly Dipping Belt... Stop doing 50 dips!!! Add some weight and struggle to get 8... I'll mention another favorite gizmo & gadget later... I just got it yesterday.. I thynk I better wait a week or two before I review it fully.. - but I love it after 1 workout!!!Peace..~G

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | Well, before thys thread goes off on a disastrous tangent.. lemme mention the next product I purchased that I just can't put down... I saw thys product featured in an issue of IronMan Magazine.. I thought it looked really simple... I wasn't sure how effective it would be.. but it seemed everyone swore by it's results.. I went to the websyte - www.Monsterbars.com - and searched the internet for the best price... Eventually I decyded.. Why not.. I love working my forearms and calves anyway.. I'll just give it a shot... The bar is a little long, as it barely fits in my gym bag.. and it's fairly heavy... that's without a weight attached... It's a solid, well made piece of equipment... Everythyng except for the gryps are steel... I don't thynk rust will be an issue. I took it to the gym and it passed the Oooh's & Aaaah's test.. as friends and strangers gathered around... From watching the mpeg video that came on the CD-Rom, I knew not to use too much weight... so I hooked 5 kg's onto it... I went for 12 reps.. overhanded... then I spun the bar around and did 12 reps underhanded.. Hmm... felt easy.. maybe I should raise the weight... I waited 1 minute & 30 seconds... Another 12 overhanded & 12 underhanded.. but thys tyme.. when I reached for my pen to enter the numbers into my journals, my forearms were talking back to me... Man, they were pumped lyke never before... ... After another 1:30, I managed to fynish my last set of 12... I was sooo happy I'd choosen to do 12!!Having officially broken my new toy in.. I passed it to the fyrst of my anxiously waiting friends... He chose to do it overhanded.. and it was a pleasure seeing him say - "This is too easy." - in the beginning... and then watching his face contort as he struggled to curl his wrists... I didn't count his reps... but my new toy had his seal of approval as well.. He said it was more comfortable than using a barbell and he would've been humbled had I used more weight to start... I did other exercyses as folks all took a turn getting their forearms blasted... Some did a few reps, some took it to failure... the funniest was the guy that watched everyone else but styll began doing bicep curls with it.. I know they're waiting for me to bring it back to the gym... but I picked up a 5 kg plate today... and I'm doing forearm curls to failure during every television show.. every bathroom break.. after every meal... etc... etc.. etc.. I can't put it down... So, if you see a guy in the back of your church with a strange contraption that seems to be working his forearms... Don't be shy.. Just whisper - IronMASS.com??? ... & I'll let you get in a set to failure.. ![]() Peace..~G

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | I've always been an advocate of direct forearm training... Maybe it came from years of watching Popeye cartoons... I don't know.. Probably because we used to squeeze each others' hands during handshakes in grade school... Who knows?? But because of those years... I've rarely encountered an exercyse that caused my gryp to fail... I've been deadlyfting for a few months, I'm up to 90 kg's.. (grabbing the calculator) - 198 plus the bar - Ok.. a mere 243 pounds for 3 sets of 8.. but my grip stays solid.. Chin ups on the lat pulldown machine (aka close grip pulldowns) with the entyre stack - 220 pounds... 3 sets of 8, no problem... Reverse gryp preacher curls (overhand gryp) - 35 kg's - 3 sets of 8, no problem... I'll admyt my forearms get pumped during those exercyses, but that's why we're here at IronMASS.com ... to take our bodyparts to new levels... Ryght? Peace..~G Straps are for bras!

1. They're compact. Perfect for my 1 bed apartment. 2. They're relatively cheap when compared to a gym membership and its attendant hassles. 3. I can increase the weights in 2.5# increments. 4. They're cute! They sit in the corner of my bedroom or living room without making the place look junky, like 10 or 15 sets of dumbbells would. 5. There are no hex screws coming loose and no chrome chipping off.
