Pull downs all the way to middle back? God, thats an injury waiting to happen (not to mention concussion if he screws up). About btn chins, i tried one yesterday, I was able to get just one rep. They are very hard. I dont think i'll stick with them because they really hurt my wrists, regardless of where i put my thumb. My new back routine will look like this:
Behind The Neck Pulls: 3 sets
Deadlifts: 3 sets
Hammer Grip Sternum Pulls: 3 sets
Dumbell Rows on Incline Bench: 3 sets

Looks good. I'd rather do 1-arm Dumbbell rows than the incline rows however. It allows that bit of extra shoulder movement, this provides better stretch and better contraction.

Plus you can use a lot more weight

Nah, i did one arm db rows for a full 8 months before i realized they were doing crap for me. I've been doing incline rows for the past 2 months and they're great, however i do switch off with t-bar rows and reverse grip bb rows.

I know it sounds odd, but the only difference between a BTN chin and a BTN pullup is which way your palms are facing. As long as you have the wrist flexibility, you shouldn't have any problem.

Maybe skelooth is suggesting that it's not a chinup but a back-of-the-head-up.

Yeah, a btn "chinup" is kind of an oxymoron, huh... but I love 'em

Too easy for me to cheat, I end up using too much "body roll". You can get a good stretch on seated cable rows too.

Yeah, thats what i meant about one arm dumbell rows. I like them better on an incline bench....much stricter form.

i triedbtn pullups and chins but they scared me cuz i heard popping ang grinding in my shoulder.....maybe its because my shoulder are prone to dislocation, like i was stretching when i first woke up and BOOM out goes my shoulder!
