The mother of all exercises...the tricep kickback

Really...how much do you guys lift on kickbacks for 6-12 reps?

I hope, and am pretty sure, you are being sarcastic. I suppose i don't know.... but it would be sick if someone was kicking back like 70 lbs DBs...

If I had to do only 1 exercise, it of course would be tricep kickbacks...

C'mon bubba, you know as well as I that with great genetics and lots of gear that anyone can get huge with lousy training methods. From a technical standpoint RC is a lousy lifter. He is sloppy and never appears to stay tight during his lifts. So, just because a huge BBer with great genetics and who uses lots of gear does kickbacks doesn't mean that kickbacks are even close to being an optimal exercise for one's triceps.

This is kinda off-topic, but powerman, your back is sick. Is your deadlift the same as years ago or did it decrease?

It has decreased of course, but that is because I'm not a PLer anymore. I DL off and on still and I've still been able to complete a 545 lb DL not long ago. Most recently, late last year, I was performing sets of 5 reps with 455 lbs.

DL was never my strongest lift since my best ever is only 650 lbs.

I was kidding... I am sure he just does them to get blood to the muscle.. I never do them, I think they are a waste.

Ronnie lifts like every other pro.. It is an adaptive training technique.
the way he trains puts far more load on the muscle. The pros lift for a job, and their livelyhood depends on being the best at their sport. If they would get better results using lighter weight with strict form, and slow reps you better believe they would be lifting that way.

It is a more dangerous way to lift, and not for beginners....

While I agree that many other top pros lift that way (sloppy), I have also seen many who don't. He can still lift with the same explosiveness and speed without looking so out of control. Just my opinion.
