| Nublarsaurusrex | you will not get bigger or stronger by doing pushups. unless you count being a buck 60 big. to get biger and stronger you need to lift heavier.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | If you're really benching 245, and that's not just an e-bench, then you have as much use for push ups as I have for an asshole... right here [points to elbow]. Get off your hands, and get benching. And if your 245 bench is really just a dream bench, then get benching anyway. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 75 | it increases muscle endurance and would help you with the weights. if you want to know a good number Army PT test for a 20 YO says 80 pushups would give you a perfect score.

Warm up? Do 10, then 20, then get busy on a bench. Serious work? Then do sets of 15 with very short rest. 5-10 sets. Beyond that, for serious results, you're asking a beagle with a bad leg to win the Kentucky Derby. | |

| Pro Stature | I do 5 sets of 30, sometimes followed by bodyweight dips. I normally just do these at home. ![]() I need to be able to do at least 56 in 2 minutes for the Navy physical fitness test...I can already do that, though and I am not even in bootcamp yet! :P
