Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 163 | I cant think of any disadvantages to being flexible... If anything i think not being flexible enough would be a disadvantage.

Stretching helps prevent lactic acid buildup and actually promotes muscle growth. (Or so I have been told by many people. ) MOP

Flexibility is great for almost everything, but it's hard to have some certain flexibility. I used to bboy (breakdance) and my shoulder flexibility was really good. However, ever since I began working lats, most of that flexibility is gone. Fair trade I guess. :bb: | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | I coach gymnastics and it would seem that the more flexible, the better. However, over flexibility in the stomach region could lead to some problems in form on other events... especially those that require a hollow-body. But then again, every now and then you get that kid who has the best of both worlds. |
