Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 116 | get the first one. The other two are junk. The first one seems to have actual free-weight accessories which you can use.

| Amateur | That is the one I really had my eye on. I was secretly hoping someone would say on of the cheaper ones were sweet, but I had a feeling they were garbage. Thanks for the input dood. You or anyone else have any other sites or know of any others that are good? ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 30 | Do you already have a squat rack and free weights? That and a set of DB's is my home gym (though I don't have enough 45's to do my whole workout there -- unless I use kids... but they don't weigh equal amounts and they move around too much...) Personally I don't like those kind of all in ones. Part of it is that I'm so tall al ot of them simply won't adjust to fit me well. I'd like to have cables at home though, but I just substitute CG bench and do OK. And for $2500 bucks you could get a nice squat rack, a barbell and some dbs.. Just a thought.

I'm slowly amassing a free-weight based gym and agree that you can invest the $2500 more wisely. A good rack can be outfitted with either a plate stack or a free-weight stack for most cable exercises including lat pull down, upright rows, seated rows, etc. Several racks come with smith options, too. It would be sweet to have a set of cable crossovers at home. (Christmas is coming... hint, hint... )

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | The best home gym would be... ~quality bench with ability to decline and incline ~set of dumbbells ~barbell with set of weights ~squat rack or smyth rack The best thing about getting one of those all-in-one machines is that you won't need help if you get stuck, it saves space, and cables keep tension throughout the movements. The bad things are the limited exercises and a limited of range of motion.
