Default Gloves with hooks

Has anyone tried anything like this:

http://hookus.hmk4.net/hook/strap.html

What are your opinions on it?

Currently, back day ends up killing my grip. My wife uses straps (for whatever reason, straps just feel wrong to me), and even her gripping starts to hurt.

I'd rather concentrate on my back, and save forearm/grip strength-building for exercises dedicated to them. These hook gloves seem to be the answer, but I'd like to get other opinions on them.

Opinion: spend your money on something else. I had a pair of those, and they were pretty bad. I mean, they didn't help me with my ultimate goal, which was to not NEED straps with hooks.

Your grip will improve over time, massively - just give it time to catch up. If you DO decide to use something, use straps, but only on your super heavy sets. If you're doing deads up to 405, for example, just use the straps on the last set or 2. Make your grip play along 100% on the light and medium stuff.

I remember when I started I would barely grip a bar with 150# on it. Now I can hold 4x that for a long set. It just comes with time.

And it's not a function of forearm size or wrist curls. I'm very lean and have medium-sized forearms, and I never do anything for forearms besides hammer curls. It's all just grip strength and practice.
