Default Fourth or fifth set, or additional exercise per bodypart?

Is it more effective to add a fourth or fifth set to one (or all) of your exercises for a bodypart, or is it better to add another exercise? The goal is size, not so much endurance...

I assume it might be different for chest or back than for arms or legs, but in a routine where you have:
3 x 8-12 Incline bench press
3 x 8-12 Supine bench press
3 x 8-12 Decline bench press
3 x 8-12 db flyes
3 x 12 db pull-overs

(and possibly some triceps work)

... would it be better to bump up my incline press to 4 or 5 sets as opposed to adding db presses after flyes (or supersetted with flyes)?

I know I feel a better pump, DOMS are much more pronounced, and I see better results with adding the fourth or fifth set.

Also, when I pyramid flat bench like 6-5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5-6, I typically keep the other lifts at 3 sets.

Just looking for opinions, I guess...

Default Re: Fourth or fifth set, or additional exercise per bodypart?

IMO, it's always better to have more variety.

That means changing reps, sets, and exercises around on a continual basis every few weeks. Or more often when it comes to your rep scheme.

Periodize everything.

ill have to agree I add a 4th or 5th set sometimes but it is also good to switch up the reps its good to shock your body cause your body gets used to the dsame thign if you do it week after week
