| Unpaid Trash Collector | I had been having trouble getting a good workout for my forearms. I had been doing all sorts of things in the gym to no avail. Last week I ordered some Captain Crush grippers. Some number 1 rated at 140 to close them I used them in various fashions yesterday nearly all day long. Major pump today and man are my forearms fatigued. The gripper is pretty nice not cheap though 19.95 + shipping. If you do not mind paying a price for nice toys ..there are cheaper knockoffs but I like good toys. http://www.ironmind.com/ironcms/open...hedtodust.html |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | Do you do deadlifts? If so try and only use straps for your heaviest set. You may need to lighten the weight a bit at first but once you get your forearms up to par you will be able to go as heavy as you used to. At least thats how it worked for me. |

| Unpaid Trash Collector | Yes I do them ...I have not used my straps in over a yr now I like the grippers because I can train my grip out side of the gym. The increased tension of them is awesome I am going to eventually try and close the number 3's which are 290 pound.. I think. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | What site can you buy those captains of crush grippers from? I'm not sure whether to get #1 or #2, either. I'd say my grip is pretty strong but nothing special. Maybe I'll just get #1 and if it's too easy I'll do high reps. |

I would start with the #1 at 145 pounds they do the job. I can close mine 15- 20 times per set. How ya been?

Looks like things are picking up around here. Since you stopped posting at bb.com, the a$$hole factor has dropped by about 80%, so it's not as fun anymore ![]()

grip strength and forearm development are totally different. for size, i'd go with hammer curls, wrist curls, and my favorite - the wrist roller. for strength, ironmind has tons of training ideas to improve your crushing, supporting, and pinching grip strength. also stuff for levering and finger strength.
