Yes sir, I do both with a dip belt and weights and wouldn't do them any other way.

I almost did a pullup the other day, I was very happy.

I've NEVER done a single pullup in my entire life, so if I can get one solid pullup at 265, I'll probably start sobbing.

Amen. I prefer to split them up between back and arm days though.

Actually that myth is indeed a fact. If there were the same you wouldn't have such a wide variety of people who can not do one over the other. The pull up allows more of the bicep to come into play making it easier for most.

Try palm in chin ups They are MUCH easier to do, and still hit your back pretty good if you concentrate on your form.

Actually those are two different names for the same movement. Most people think "Chinups" refers to supinated (palms up) grip and that pull-ups refer to a pronated grip. They are wrong.

Are you gonna post something other than your own opinion dug up from some thread you posted in, or do we take your word as gospel?

IMO Pull-ups are one of THE BEST exercises for the upper body.

Are you kidding? You must be doing them wrong. I've never known anyone to not gain size from them.

Pull-ups and chin-ups have greater emphasis in different areas with the grip type and grip width. It's true they primarily work the same areas though if you're trying to be technical in the wording. But it's like saying all squats are the same with the types having no meaning.
