Default Breathing exercises

Breathing exercises are helpful for heart diseases. Make a routine of doing breathing exercises daily for 10 minutes. Take a long breath from one side of your nose and release from other side. Do it for 5 minutes. It definately helps you if u are a heart patient. You can also do this either u are normal.

In what way does this help your heart? Your nostrils merge into one passageway once inside your skull, so I really don't see the point of breathing through one as opposed to the other.

Yes, Pallavi. I do agree with you. This is also known as "Anulom Bilom" pranayama. It not only improves the cardiac system but very useful for overall body system. It increases the blood circulation, makes lungs strong. Very much useful for improving our mental health. It gives peace and stability in our mind. Regular practice definitely helps ones to maintain a good health and mind.
