Default Best home aerobics machines

I'm starting this thread to get your ideas on what's the best for a home exercise equipment, aerobics-wise. IMO, it's difficult to get in the very best of shapes without such a thing which allows you to hit the cardio at any time on a whim.

I'm starting with what my friend wants to buy sometime in the new year:

This thing uses a sealed water compartment for resistance and is allegedly very very silent, on top of being stylish enough to have around and very storable (can easily be put in a vertical position). This seems to be the best I've seen so far, but would love to hear other ideas of what's good.

Taken from http://www.waterrower.com/

Post your ideas?

Thanks

that rowing machine is pretty cool looking

I personally like stationary bikes and find them to be very muscle sparing

I was in commission-based sales of fitness equipment for 3-4 years and really like Nordic Trac equipment. It is high quality and they are a company that really stands behind their products. I also recommend their extended warranties.

Meh personally, I find rowing, stationary cycling, treadmilling boring. I prefer wind sprints or jogging. Anyways... if I had to pick is I'd probably go with a treadmill though. That rowing machine is cool.

I love my Tectrix ClimbMax 200 Stepper, but believe that the ultimate cardio equipment is definitely a rower.

It's not that exciting but I find a treadmill to be a great aerobic machine. I like to go on walks for my aerobic activity, usually 45-60 minutes at a time. And I find it to be muscle sparing.

Right now it is 5 F outside and I could really use a treadmill at home. :fingersxd

It's pretty nice outside here, 60 and sunny, but I'm about to get on the treadmill so that I can watch Curb Your Enthusiasm on the big screen while I do cardio (I'd do it outside if my ****** iPod was working, I need something to occupy my mind during cardio)

I like walking at a fast pace on an incline for about 30-45 minutes, with a 6-8 minute run somewhere in the middle
