Default Best Exercises for tree trunk calves

I train calves with 3 sets of 12 3 days a week. I've been getting decent gains on my calves. But I'm sure which exercises to do. I've been just rotating around the gym lately. Doing a different calf exercise almost everytime I train them.

So which exercises are the best for isolating the calves?

i always did 3 sets of 20 on the standing calf raise and they grew quite well doing that. my legs have always grown well though so that may not help.

I think the contraction is the most important part.

Standing Calf Raises, Seated Calf Raises, Leg Press Calf Raises, etc.

Standing Calf Raises, Seated Calf Raises, Donkey Calf Raises, Running hills...

Also, look into utilizing different foot postions and rep speeds.

If you take a lot of staircases like I do, walk on the balls of your feet. Go up 50+ steps and your calves will get a nice burn. It's exercising when you don't even mean to, it's second nature to me now.

Up for 2 seconds, 5 second negative, hold bottom position for a deep stretch for 20 seconds. Use a lighter weight and do that for 12 reps. Excruciating
