| Amateur | hello, im ONLY CURIOUS and not interested in competing at this time, but based on my stats and photos, what would i do right now to start training for a figure show? im thinking put on more muscle..?? again, im only curious. ![]() thanks for any info. 5'8.5" 125 lbs BF ? somewhere around 16-18% probly hold fat in my belly and inner thighs clare |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hi Clare, You have the right idea. The first thing you would need to do is start working on adding lean muscle. Although you have a very nice figure, you'd definitely need significantly more muscle to be competitive in most Figure shows. The key for you would be to work to add very lean muscle. You don't want to add a lot of body fat in the process of adding muscle, because you would eventually also need to lower your body fat from it's current % in order to do well in competition. So, the long range plan would be to work to add lean muscle, and then when you have enough muscle, cut in such a way as to keep the new muscle you've added and get rid of the fat so you can really show it off. Easier said than done, I know, but that would be the plan. Fortunately, you appear to have nice lines and a good shape, so if you can add some good additional muscle, you could probably do well competing.. | Amateur | thank you for your response! after checking out other figure pics, i can definately see that i need a lot more muslce. as it is now, i have other plans that will take control of my body for a little while, but someday i would like to do a show. its nice to know that i have potential and where i would go from here, etc. thank you again- clare ![]() EDIT- i just checked out your websites and have to say that your wife is the prettiest lady i have EVER SEEN! and i almost started to cry when i saw your cute doggies. ![]() |
