Exclamation wrist pains. help!

Ok...my left wrist is jacked up for some reason. I really have no idea how I did it...my guess is faulty motion on my skull crushers. I had to improvise my form to accomodate my bench. I think maybe I tweaked it doing that..

Anyways...last week it hurt just to roll my wrist around or twist it in anyway. Also, I could not even pick up my ez-curl bar at all with out damn near crying in pain. This week, I have full motion of my wrist, but it still hurts when I get to the point where I cant twist it anymore...if that makes sense.

But it really hurts to curl anything, or pick up anything with a underhand grip (like gripping a curl bar) I took this week off after bench...it doesnt hurt to bench, but i decided to cool it totally on the weights this week, and I will be traveling all next week for work and I wont be touching a weight then either.

I just want to know whats wrong and how soon I can get back in the gym. I hate the feeling of not lifting, ya know? Any suggestions on how to speed up the healing process? Thanks everyone!

Wrists are finicky; sometimes I have the exact same pain you described and other times I'm pain free. I think the time off will do you good; when you come back you'll likely feel a lot better.

Have you been training forearms a lot lately? Do you train them at all? That could have an impact as well.

These plague of wrist injuries is going around.

I'm taking a few days off from the gym and resting and seeing if that helps.

I hope this extra week helps and I am back to normal, I just bought some new supps i wanna try..this sucks BAD!!!!

no, i dont ever do forearms, i need to start...the pain is more on the top of my wrist..near that "ball bone"...but i am sure stronger forearms would prevent wrist injuries...

Sounds like a slight strain, the time off should help it out alot.. you might try a wrist support if it happens again..

Do you use wrist straps normaly. I have found the same pain when I start to depend on them. Does it hurt when you bench at all?

I have the same problem and it is a b*tch getting my wrist to heal.

If you have to do curls, use an ezcurl bar or use hammer grips when doing dumbbells. A straight bar is probably what caused you to injure your wrists.

Get a wrist wrap at the drug store. Use it.

This is tendonitus of the wrist. This means you stretched the tendon and it is inflammed. Take lots of MSM and or fish oil. These are anti-inflammitories. Asperin may help too.

Good luck.
