| Pro Stature | All of a sudden, yesterday my lower stomach and top of my..."piece" hurt like crazy. It hurt but when I blew, coughed, laughed, it hurt a lot. You guys think its hernia? If it is at all, it's mild because I don't have the big symtoms like imflammation of the stomach and me testacles don't hurt. The pain isn't like gas and it's not like my abs are sore, it's just a pain. I'm going to see the doctor in a few days, but what do you guys think? I also stopped lifting until it gets better. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 68 | My first suggestion is to see the doctor... which you are doing.. he can give you much better advice than anyone on here can because he will be able to see you... but I have had an abdominal tear that turned into a hernia.. before.. and it could be.. in the area that is sore.. when you push in.. does it feel like there could be a hole there.. dont push hard or anything.. but you should be able to feel the hole in the wall of your stomach.. I could.. but just take it easy until the doc tells you what is going on.. it could be as simple as a muscle pull.. but it is best to take it easy..

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 177 | I have had 4 hernias, but not one was from lifting weights.. I got a double hernia when I was younger working on a construction site, I jumped off a roof about 12 feet up, when I hit the ground I felt pain in my lower abdominal area. the next day I noticed a lump on the right side, when I lifted something heavy it would pop out, and I could push it back in... I did this for a long time (a few years).. I hate doctors... when I couldn't stand it anymore and went to the docs, she told me I had a double hernia. I didn't have a bump on the left side but she said when they patch up the right side it would... the next time was from a bad cold I got, I was coughing like crazy once the cold was over I noticed my stomach was tender just to the left of my bellybutton I felt a hole like PJ was saying sure enough I had to go in for emergency surgery. the next was a year later same thing, bad cold coughing my head off... I quit smoking, and have had no problems since.. |

| Pro Stature | Wow, those are rough. Mine isn't from lifting, I think it's more from the extra running I've been doing lately. Now I don't even think it's a bad hernia, might be justpull or something minor. |
