Default i'm 19, pretty fit but I have a crazy high heart rate???

I'v been hitting the gym alot over the past 5 months i'v been gaining alot of weight but keeping a good shape and form.
After going to the gym with my freinds a few times i'v come to realize that I have a really high heart rate. After doing 2 mins of running (just warming up) my heart is around 170 - 190 and my resting heart rate is around 90ish. Now compared to my freinds this is really really high.

Is there anything you guys can reccomend to try and reduce my heart rate without making me lose weight. What should I change in my diet that can help me. (I eat quite alot of meat at the moment and alot of fatty/hight protien food)

Thanks alot if you can!

I'm really not sure bro, do you have any type of heart or blood pressure problems? It could just be a fluke, or you could just naturally have a high resting heart rate. I know you do cardio and a lot of sports.... do you feel healthy?

Most off all do you have health insurance? cos this is the type of thing to see a doctor about.

Not sure about the blood pressure problems. I really think it's just the way I eat. I eat alot of crap.

I feel healthy but after a long work out I get dizzy and have to site down for a while. Yes to the health insurance.

The getting dizzy thing after a long work out is somewhat normal. I know on leg day by the time I'm done there is NO BLOOD left in my brain, and I have to slowly stand up or I'd drop on the floor lol. If you really think there is a problem though you should see the doctor.

btw, 30lbs in 3 months is awesome bro You're going to be jacked

After checking my pulse again (right now) i'm at 82. That is still to high but not as bad as what I thought. I'm gonna just try and eat more fish and keep away from the pizzas and other crap.

Thanks for the comment. i'll get some progression pics up when I get my digi cam working (Just bought a new laptop so all my old pics are on my pc)

If anyone else wants to add some advice. Feel free.

I also have an extremely high heart rate. Resting it is high 80ish. I run 3-4 times a week and it usually peaks at 175 running 8 minute miles. Dieting and training hasn't helped because mine has been this way for years. After reaching 170 how long does it take your heart rate to recover back down to 130?

I think that is a bit alarmist.

A diet that includes a lot of sodium might cause an elevated heart rate.

I thought mine was a tad high at a 72 resting rate. Personally I'd have that checked, must be a reason your heart is working so hard.

My heart rate has always been in the 85-95 range. Since I started doing cardio mine has dropped down into the 75-80 range. You should check your heart rate immediately after waking up. There are many things that can cause an elevated heart rate at any given time. Some of them are benign and others can be a warning sign that something isn't right. If you are concerned, it wouldn't hurt to have your family doctor check things out.

Good luck.

Mine is always around high 60's-low 80's, just depending on time of day. I had a buddy that did distance running with a low 50's heart rate. That was nuts.

It would probably be best to get it checked... but I think that the high sodium would cause part of it.. but I would still get it checked just to be safe..

right.
its most likely diet but the heart is not something i recommend relying on internet advice. i have a friend in a the same situation and it turned out being nothing but i think someone more qualified should be telling you that.
